F2 OptiProp – Biocide-Free Propeller Antifouling for Maximum Efficiency & Minimum Maintenance
More speed, less fuel, less fouling—season after season.
F2 OptiProp is the advanced Foul-Release & Metal-Protection System for propellers and underwater metals. The two-stage system, consisting of Super Bond Primer (chemical metal adhesion) and a hydrophobic Top Coat (ultra-smooth non-stick surface), holds where others fail—designed to last 5+ years. It’s completely biocide-free, silicone-free, PFAS/PTFE-free, and VOC-free.
Your Three Biggest Advantages
-
Efficiency/Speed & Acceleration – Noticeably less prop drag: better response, faster maneuvers, and higher cruising speed with the same power.
-
Less Fuel Consumption – Lower power demand equals measurably lower consumption and greater range (depending on use).
-
Less Maintenance (USP) – Designed to last 5+ years: no annual recoats, fewer haul-outs, and growth is usually easy to wipe off instead of needing sanding or painting.
How Does F2 OptiProp Work?
The Super Bond Primer (Base + Activator) chemically anchors itself to stainless steel, bronze, Nibral, and aluminum. It forms an extremely durable base that withstands flow, cavitation, and rotation.
The hydrophobic Top Coat chemically bonds to the primer, creating an ultra-smooth, water-like surface. Organisms find it hard to attach, drag decreases—and propulsion remains efficient season after season.
Areas of Application & Compatibility
-
Components: Propellers (fixed, folding, variable pitch), saildrives, shafts, trim tabs, bow/stern thruster props, and other underwater metals.
-
Metals: Stainless steel, bronze, Nibral, aluminum.
-
Water Types: Saltwater, brackish water, and freshwater.
-
Shipyard-Friendly: Silicone-free—no risk of silicone contamination in painting areas.
